Happy Chinese New Year!!

This is very short, with our holidays beginning on Wednesday. All day Monday will be spent rehearsing and making sure the costumes fit. Tuesday morning we will be doing different activities with the school, that I'm sure the kids will love. In the afternoon we have the concert that will start at 2. Please have your child come to school with a white long sleeve shirt on under their uniform.

I hope you all have a good and relaxing week off, and we'll see you back at school the following Wednesday.

Happy New Year!

Homework: p. 3 and p. 18 - this page is on the sight word "the." Because the "th" sound doesn't match the first letter, this is a harder word for them to recognize. But they have learned it. Once they have written "the" on all the lines, have them read the sentence. They might not recognize some of the pictures, so please help them. They are drum, trumpet, piano. So they will say "I like the drum." They know how to read "I" and "like."

Have a good week! Ali
